Burns, External

Medications for Burns, Topical

Around Burns, External:  The treatment of burns depends on the depth, area and location of the burn. Burn depth is categorised as first, second or third level. A first degree burn is superficial and has similar characteristics to a sun burnoff. The skin is reddish in colour and sensation is intact. In fact, it`s rather painful. Second degree burns seem much like the level burns; however, the damage is currently acute enough to result in blistering of the skin and the pain is marginally more severe. In third degree burns up the damage has progressed to the point of skin death. Skin is white and without sensation.
